The Artists’ Dinner- THE DOVE & THE TOAD

Inspired by the extraordinary love story of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. This gathering celebrates two artists who were as contrasting as they were inseparable.

The dove evokes Frida- delicate yet fiercely spirited, intimate, imaginative and deeply connected to the world around her.
The toad evokes Diego who embraced the name Sapo-Rana (Toad-frog) in his letters to Frida.
Together the dove and the toad represent the beautiful contradictions of their relationship. Tenderness and intensity, delicacy and strength, beauty and imperfection.
